ZOTUNG REFUGEE CATHOLIC LEARNING CENTRE
2021 ZRCLC OUTSCHOOL OUTREACH "ZOO" PROGRAM
ABOUT THE TEACHER
SANDRA LEE, EDUCATOR (Singapore)
A trained educator from the National Institute of Singapore, Sandra has been teaching primary school children for the past 25 years!
Her love for singing and exciting the minds of little children of the world around us led her to offer this program where our children discover nature while singing their way through learning how to read independently
SINGPING PHONICS
(AGE GROUP : 4-6 YEARS OLD)
Children love to sing, to clap, to move their bodies. Through this program our children to strengthen their phonics skills in a way that is natural and fun. They will will hardly realize they are practicing the vital decoding skills that help them become independent readers. From letter identification through spelling patterns and phonic rules this is a snappy alternative to skill and drill
In the spirit of sharing our blessing of having generous online volunteer and inspired by the many online programs around the world, we decided to conduct our very own "Outschool" Outreach program targeted at helping other refugee learning centres in gaining access to some form of online learning.
How does it work?
Our ZRCLC volunteers to create short education modules (anything from 2-4 classes per module) on subjects / topics that are relevant for our refugee children in Malaysia. We then invite refugee children registered in learning centres under the the UNHCR to join us for these classes via ZOOM for FREE
